Thanks for sharing this, Ariane- I particularly resonated with this sentence here: “I am not completely focused while writing. I find my thoughts wandering, and sometimes realize I have put away my notebook and picked up my phone.” I think this happens to me in particular when I’m thinking of topics that I quite like. I find myself having to reel back in. 😂
Now envisioning my own panic monster as a Monsters Inc style character - it’s so hard to remember to listen and soothe those fears rather than avoid (which does not help). I’m going to try it! Thanks for sharing.
How lovely, Ariane! I keep hearing about morning pages, but I think you’ve sold me on it. I’ll start as soon as I find that perfect set of matching notebooks… 😏
After one day of morning pages, in which I filled 30 pages of notebook paper, used up and entire gel pen, and wrote for 5 hours, I’ve determined that it’s more efficient to think my thoughts than try to write them all down. It took me all day! 😂

Yes!! It is both completely normal and an easy thing to get caught up in without noticing. We're not alone in this experience!
Just seeing this for some reason. Ariane, hope you’re gearing up for a lovely summer in Minneapolis? Any fun plans? Cheers, -Thalia

It's definitely a balance - 30+ pages sounds like a great purge but isn't sustainable daily!!
Exactly! 😂
